Maternity Clothing Line Creation

Maternity Website – Getting closer!

Our  Mix’n'Match maternity website is almost ready to launch, and we are in countdown mode.  Our natural fibres for maternity clothes are looking absolutely fabulous and have been “road tested” by several of our regular mums to be, and all love our natural maternity designs.  The layering maternity look is proving very popular and with the latest addition of” all cotton “scarves, our mums are having a great time creating new maternity looks.

3 Busy Months

It has been 3 months since my last blog.  Three very frustrating but busy months trying to get everything right. I have been busy sewing the samples and refining the fit to get them perfect.

My regular clients have been asking me to design new maternity products for the long cold months of winter that will be upon us too soon.  They all of course wanted to be able wear stylish, light and comfortable maternity clothes, that can be layered to create different looks.  All of our designs are able to be switched around with other ones to change the look according to your mood and needs.  Add some jewellery and shawls, or a belt and once again you have a whole new look.  Remember if you feel comfortable and feel good in what you are wearing, then you will have a good day.  One in which you will feel happy and relaxed.

I will write a further update next week,

Best wishes,

Judith

The beginning of Mix n Match Maternity!

In 1982 my husband Mark and I started designing and sewing bridal gowns from a small workshop in Flinders Lane, Melbourne.  Through long hours and hard work we increased our customer base to all the major stores throughout Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

During this time I became more and more interested in natural fibres for my gowns and eventually almost all our gowns were made in 100% silk. At the same time our reputation grew and we eventually opened our own signature store in High Street, Armadale.

Eighteen months ago Mark and I felt the need for a well deserved and extended break from all the long hours and hard work and therefore left the business.

Many of my brides kept in touch and several started asking me to design and supply maternity wear.  From sewing and selling at home the demand grew rapidly and now I’m thrilled to be launching the label MIX N MATCH MATERNITY wear.

When my own daughter in law needed a maternity wardrobe, I saw the need for mums-to-be to have only natural and comfortable clothing. Clothing that could be layered to create several “looks” and therefore be economical.  Natural fabrics that do not crease and are terrific for travel.  Natural fabrics that feel gentle on the skin, that breathe, are anti-static, anti-microbial and ultimately and most importantly comfortable to wear for the entire pregnancy and beyond.

We look forward to keeping you up-to-date with our progress as we launch our new label, MIX N MATCH MATERNITY.
